Virtual Britsburgh Festival Live presents....
In 2016 Britsburgh partnered with Scott Smith and East End Brewing to produce a unique 'British Style' annual brew for our Britsburgh Festival - The Britsburgh Ale. This year is no different. Well, ok, it is different in so many ways but we Brits have a motto you know very well - Keep Calm and Carry On! This year's Britsburgh Ale is a "Best Bitter" from Yorkshire with unique pairing with hops from PA. You know Britsburgh is all about British-American connections, right? So we will taste this and three other beers from EEB while chatting with owner Scott Smith and Brendan Benson, head brewer about these brews - virtually of course - while tasting the goods, so to speak. The Bristburgh Ale is in the tanks brewing as I write this and will be available with the others in the Britsburgh Tasting Case available to you in advance from August 31st (see below for details) and we'll even deliver it to your doorstep for a few bucks. We may have been at home for a while and our favourite bars may be closed, but Britsburgh is going to bring East End to you - in your home!
It'll be a fun evening of stories and tasting - and there's no closing time! Once you register, please order your beer online asap from the Brewery for the event. Scott and Brendan will be on hand to walk us through the beers and to answer your questions. And don't forget to donate when you register. By the way the event is FREE - so please donate generously - Britsburgh previously raised $5,000 for the Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and other charities affected by COVID-19. Now its our turn to ask you to support us to enable great content in future. Thank you!
Britsburgh Tasting Case Price: East End Brewing will supply you directly with 5 four packs i.e. a four pack of each of the tasting beers at a cost of $80. That's just $4 a pint folks! Plus Scott has kindly agreed to throw in some glasswear for free!
Collection and delivery options: Curbside Pickup at the brewery, or Saturday Home Delivery if people are inside our 40+ zip code coverage area. Delivery charge is $10 for locations within 20 minutes of the brewery i.e. to the following zip codes: 15104, 15120, 15139, 15143, 15146, 15147, 15201, 15202, 15203, 15205, 15206, 15207, 15208, 15209, 15210, 15211, 15212, 15213, 15214, 15215, 15216, 15217, 15218, 15219, 15220, 15221, 15222, 15223, 15224, 15226, 15227, 15228, 15229, 15232, 15234, 15235, 15237, 15238, 15239, 15241, 15243, 15260. East End Brewing could also do a big drop at a location outside that zone, if people want to pool an order of ten cases or more. Contact the Brewery directly to arrange.
Important note: Like other breweries, bars and restaurants, East End brewing is impacted by COVID-19. By ordering the BRITBURGH TASTING CASE, and if you like other cases of beers, you will help keep your favourate brewery alive and keep Scott's staff employed during these difficult times.

Starved of theatre, literature, cultural activities during the pandemic? Yes? Then this is for you. Britsburgh is taking its Festival into the virtual realm! In a series of live events during the Festival week of September 7-13, programs will be streamed daily online using the Zoom Video Conference App, You will experience aspects of theatre, readings, history, literature, interviews and more. Once you log on, your Virtual Host will make sure you can see and hear us, but we can’t hear or see you. The events are live and the experience is remarkable!
Register for the event - It's free!
Please donate what you can. We suggest $10 per person. The pandemic has necessitated that Britsburgh, like so many organizations, temporarily pause its in-person programming. Your much appreciated contribution will help us cover our Festival costs, keep Britsburgh's programming strong when we return to live programs and the organization viable for the long-term. Registered and forgot to donate? No worries click here. Thanks.
Order the "Britsburgh Tasting Case" from East End Brewing in advance of the event. Note you don't have to buy a case to attend but it won't be as much fun...
Please consider becoming a Britsburgh member, which will help us through the next year and entitle you to member discounts for our future events (live and virtual) and a select number of member-only events.
You will receive a registration confirmation with a link to the event and a password.
We suggest you join the event 10-15 minutes before the event start time. You will be placed into a waiting room where your event host will check you against your registration. If you have not registered you won't be allowed into the event.
The audience will be able to watch but your event host will make sure we can't see or hear you. If you wish to ask a question you can do so by using the chat function or in the Q&A section you can raise your hand and the host will unmute you.
Adjust your Zoom settings. To fully enjoy the performance you will need to adjust the settings on the Zoom app so you can only see the performers, and not the whole audience. Here are the instructions on how to do it. But don’t worry, we’ll make sure everyone is ready before starting the event!
Important: Please make sure your Zoom name is your full name so that you can be ticked off the registration list. If the host cannot identify you, you will be ejected from the event.
This presentation is open to everyone but, of course, you have to be over the age of 21 to buy or drink beer.
